Beach Time!

So after our lovely day trip to Amsterdam, we took Sunday in as a "day of relaxation." Jonathan, the German guy from down the hall, came and asked us if we would like to tag along to the group headed to the beach nearby. Of course we thought that was a perfect idea, a nice relaxing day at the beach! Awesome! so we got our swimsuits, a few drinks, and our towels and headed out.

The beach was maybe a 15-20min bike ride from our Apartment building (Leliestraat), called Wythmener Plas, and it was more than what we had expected. *For those of you who may know our cottage up north, I was  expecting something like Green Lake's beach.* This is a panoramic shot Wu Shen took of the beach.

We laid out for a bit, since the water was absolutely freezing. Ok that may be a bit of an overstatement, but it was definitely more on the chilly to very cold range. And as more people showed up, we got a small pick up game of soccer going. And then decided we were all sweating and hot enough to go cool down and headed into the nice beautiful (clean, fresh) water for a swim...
